Effective Leadership
Kris Munn is a manager of land planning and development for a leading homebuilder in southern Nevada and a successful small business owner.
As a manager who reviews multi-million dollar development contracts, Kris has experience in writing and managing fiscally responsible budgets. As owner of the Silver Star Cattle Company, he understands small business challenges and the impact of growth in developing communities.
Kris earned a bachelor's degree of environmental design in architecture from Texas A&M University and received his master's degree in business from the University of Phoenix in Nevada .
By education, work, and life experience, Kris is well qualified to serve in the Nevada State Assembly.
Distinguished Service
Kris Munn has a long and distinguished service record, beginning in high school as senior class president. He also earned the Billy Mitchell Award as one of the very few teenagers to be promoted to cadet lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol. After high school, he entered the Air Force ROTC program at Texas A&M University and went on to serve over four years of active duty in the United States Air Force. He continues to serve as Captain in the United States Air Force Reserves.
Recently, Kris was asked once again by his country to defend democracy and freedom abroad. He served under General Tommy Franks at U.S. Central Command during Operation Enduring Freedom. For his service during that time he was awarded the:
Accountable Representation
Kris Munn is an honest and accessible candidate who will bring strong, reliable, and responsible representation to Assembly District 21. As an Assemblyman, he will continue to listen to residents, help identify community needs, place residents' desires first, and take action in the assembly to ensure that Nevada will meet those needs.
Kris will work hard to represent district views over special interests, lobbyists, and political pressure. He has already signed the taxpayer protection pledge, stating that I will oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes. He also promises to support legislation for better health care, education reform, stronger senior rights, and more area revitalization efforts; and has proven to be an energized self-starter who can stand on his own and get things done.
Kris has the education, sense of ethics, and service record we need in the Nevada State Legislature. He will represent Assembly 21 residents with a strong voice and is willing to fight for voter and Nevada 's needs. Kris will use his knowledge and experience as an asset, helping our state by offering unique insights into a budget management, public service, and community development.
